Jim Neeley

Jim’s first 15 years as a forester were spent working for timber companies. He served as a unit forester for International Paper Company in the Hampton District and as a procurement forester for Georgia Pacific. He started consulting full time in 1971 when he established Neeley Forestry Service, Inc. He has served on numerous local and state boards and his long history in the timber industry has been very valuable in the management of our clients’ properties.

JD joined his father’s firm upon graduation in May of 1985. JD has worked in all aspects of forest management including timber cruising, timber sale preparation, appraisals, supervision of herbicide application, tree planting, burning, boundary line surveys, and road construction. He is now the president of Neeley Forestry Service and has oversight of the management of clients’ properties.

Mark Beasley

Mark has over 20 years of forestry experience. Mark began working for Neeley Forestry while attending college. After college Mark worked a few years with Anthony Timberlands, then got into private consulting. He came on board with Neeley Forestry fulltime in 1995. Mark has been involved in almost every aspect of forestry during some point in his career, from getting trees planted to getting them harvested. At Neeley Forestry, Mark is closely involved with the preparation of timber sales and helps to plan and coordinate many of the silvicultural activities such as tree planting and herbicide applications.

Josh has been with Neeley Forestry since June 2000. He works on most appraisal projects that Neeley Forestry takes on. Along with helping to manage clients’ lands, Josh is also involved in the GIS work that takes place and generates maps for timber sales, land sales, and other projects.

Robert joined Neeley Forestry in May 1999. He is involved in many of the behind the scene duties of managing our clients’ lands such as conducting timber inventories and helping to prepare timber sales.

Ernest Ponder

Forest Technician

Ernest gained valuable forestry experience working with International Papter Company for almost 20 years. He started out assisting management operations on land in IPCO’s LAP program for about six years. He then took on other duties with IP including working in the logging and operations department and then in procurement. Ernest has been with Neeley Forestry since October 2002. He is involved in much of the fieldwork that takes place, including timber inventories, growth studies and helping to prepare timber sales.

Randy Rogers

Randy has been with Neeley Forestry since September 1993. During his 15 plus years with Neeley Forestry, Randy has become very acquainted with a lot of our clients’ land. Randy is involved with most of the ground level management work from inventories to preparing timber sales.

Jill has been with Neeley Forestry since 1997. Prior to joining Neeley Forestry, she gained valuable experience working for financial institutions. Jill takes care of the bookkeeping and other administrative duties.

Administrative Asst.

Suzie has been working for Neeley Forestry since 1993. Her duties include preparing formal reports, contracts, and timber and land sale notices. Suzie also takes care of hunting leases on our clients’ land.
